There’s no need to go elsewhere when it comes to annual visits and well-woman checkups. A woman shouldn’t have to go to a gynecologist for some things and a family doctor for others. It can all be done here at Family First Medical Center. We have several top-rated Idaho Falls doctors that specialize in women’s healthcare. These checkups are comprehensive, focusing on a full range of preventative medicine.
Unlike most family doctors in Idaho Falls, we don’t believe that routine checkups for women should be considered “specialty” care. Our women’s health treatments include regular procedures like pap smears and routine physicals. Checkups like these help look for and monitor cancers or precancers that could develop in certain areas of the female body.
With so many different types of IUD’s, it can be difficult to speak for every patient, though we do place and remove IUDs on a case-by-case basis. Please give us a call and we can consult with you.
While we do provide routine women’s health checkups, we do not specialize in gynecology or have an OB/GYN on staff. Any specialized procedures will need to be scheduled with your gynecologist.
We can remove contraceptive arm implants, but we currently do not place them. We recommend you see your gynecologist for the placement of this birth control.

Yes, we do offer routine physicals.
“As moms we don’t always prioritize our own health. Being able to make appointments for both yourself and your family makes taking care of yourself a little easier.”
